I think I'm going to die. I just hope I die soon, because what's the point of finishing the portfolio and then dieing?

I promise I'll say something nice at your funeral.

Thank you Chera. That will mean more than I can say (because I'll be dead, and so won't be able to say anything...)

That's the way it usually works.

Update: Samuel is alive with a completed English portfolio.

Huzzah!

I had no doubts.

Poor Samuel. For five semesters, it seemed like I was always having to work twice as hard as him because of the differences in our schools. But this semester it's switched around. I'm so much more rested and, relatively speaking, have so much more free time than he does. Even though he had the other five semesters easier, it still somehow doesn't seem quite fair.

Update: As you all know, Samuel completed the English portfolio. He's finally completed all of his required internship days, but he and the teacher he's working with are planning for him to continue working with her classes until the junior high lets out in late May. What's really keeping him busy right now (in addition to lesson planning and grading stacks of papers) is that he's filling out applications, attending job fairs, lining out interviews, and other job-finding-ish-type things.

Edit to the Update: I was misinformed -- Samuel has not completed all of his required internship days, but his last required day will be the Friday of next week. So, there's light at the end of the tunnel! And yes, he's still planning to stay with those classes until they let out for the summer.
